Proje “Hope”

Kavramsal olarak ‘’insanın bulutların içinde olma fikrinden’’ yola çıkan ‘Hope’ (Umut)  isimli enstalasyon, bulut formunun sınırsız, belirsiz, değişime açık olan özgürlüğünden yararlanılarak Hazal Çınar ve Ayşe Begüm Tekay tarafından “9th International Wind Art Festival -Wolken / clouds” sanat festivali için 2018 yılında üretilmiştir.

Enstalasyonda sanatçılar, izleyicileri borular ile belirlenmiş /sınırlanmış alana davet ederek, Fan, hareket sensörü ile birlikte kurulmuş olan düzenekte, bir oyun mantığı yaratmak istemiştir. Hareket sensörünün, fanı tetiklenmesini sağlayan bu düzenekte izleyici, kurgunun yönlendirilmesiyle birlikte, beklemediği bir anda işin oluşum/ değişim sürecine dahil olacaktır.

Hareket sensörünün tetiklenmesiyle aküden beslenilen enerjinin, fanı çalıştırması sonucu, resimde görülen şekilde naylon poşetleri şişirecek. Bu şekilde bulut metaforu, izleyici üzerin de, somut bir şekilde belirecek ve işin içine beklemediği bir an da dahil edilecektir.

Gün içinde sürekliliği sağlanan enstalasyonda, katılımcılar için yeni ve birbirinden farklı deneyim alanları sunarak, bilgi ve anı depolarını somutlaştıracaktır. Hem sığınma hem özgürlük alanı yaratan bu enstalasyon, ne ile karşılaşacağını bilmeyen izleyici için hem güvenilir hem de belirsiz bir durum yaratacak, bu da izleyici açısından sanatı ve doğayı tekrar tekrar deneyimlemeyi mümkün kılacaktır.

Conceptually, the installation named “HOPE’’, which is based on the idea of “man being in the clouds”, is produced by utilizing the limitless, indefinite, open to change freedom of the cloud form.

The artists wanted to create a game logic in the setup that was established with pipes, electric fans and nylon clouds by inviting the audience to the designated / bounded installation area. In this setup, which enables the electric fans to be triggered by motion sensor, and with the orientation of the fiction the viewer will be involved in the formation / change process of the workpiece, which is not expected.

In the triggered system with the contribution of the electric fans, the air will be sucked through the inlet holes and pass through the pipes, let into the nylon sachets and make them swell, as shown in the picture. By this way, the meteorite of the cloud will be seen by the viewers, both virtually and concretely, and the viewers will sweep into the work on the moment which will not be expected.

This mechanism, which will be reproduced at certain periods throughout the day, will embody information and memory storages by offering new and diverse experience areas for participants. This installation, which creates an area of asylum and freedom, will create both a credible and indeterminate situation for the viewer who does not know what to encounter. This will enable the viewer to experience art and nature over and over again.
